Each year we house over 75 people and continually find innovative ways to provide suitable and much needed housing solutions for people with a learning disability and/or mental health issues.
KAP understands that people with mental health issues or a learning disability have different wants and needs when it comes to their home.
That’s why at KAP we start with the person – and empower them to choose where, how and with whom they live. We work in partnership with many localised support providers to ensure people have access to the support they need to live independently in their home and community.

We provide supported living for adults with learning disabilities and other support needs, enabling people to live in their own home and be part of their community. This isn’t just accommodation – it’s a home of their own where they will receive the support they need to thrive. It’s independence, personal growth and wellbeing. We build support around each person we work with, and do not try to fit people into a “service”. During assessment and support planning, we work to understand what the person can do for themselves and what they need support with. We agree on how they wish to get out and about in their community and what they like to do.
Our co-production approach ensures the person we support has choice and control over what they want to achieve and what a good life looks like to them. That may be things like:
The level of support is determined by each person’s needs, from just a few hours per week, to 24-7 support.
Here at KAP it’s really important to us that tenants are able to live happy, healthy and safe lives, all of which contribute towards helping tenants to achieve their future aspirations. We work closely with partner organisations to make sure that our tenants receive the right support to meet their needs. Combining the housing management services that we provide along with their support helps our tenants to maintain their tenancy.
